Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Redwood City, California
Start Date: 06-08-2026
End Date: 09-07-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend (Fri/Sat nights, Sat/Sun days), holidays rotate with staff (one of every 3 majors)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate care to mothers and newborns in a state-of-the-art LDRP unit
- Triage patients and monitor fetal hearts using advanced Cerner systems
- Collaborate with Stanford NICU nurses and multidisciplinary team for seamless deliveries
- Support high-acuity couplets with 1:3 or 1:4 ratios per ACOG standards
- Assist with NSTs, epidurals, and lactation planning to create positive birth experiences
Qualifications
- Active RN license with 2+ years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- Comfortable with Cerner PowerChart and fetal monitoring links
- Ready to float to postpartum in rotation with permanent staff
Education
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in high-risk obstetrics and Level 2 NICU support
- Proficiency in EMR charting and patient triage
- Strong teamwork in fast-paced maternity environments
- Cultural sensitivity for diverse patient populations including Mandarin speakers
