Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality abdominal and OB/GYN ultrasound exams using current imaging equipment
• Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound systems, ensuring consistent image quality
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to provide timely, diagnostic images
• Document and archive studies accurately in PACS and maintain patient records
• Provide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety
• Follow infection control practices and maintain a safe work environment
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities within Diagnostic Imaging

Qualifications

• ARDMS credentials (or equivalent) in Abdomen — required upon submission
• ARDMS credentials (or equivalent) in OB/GYN — required upon submission
• Current, unencumbered Oregon Sonography license required
• Healthcare Provider BLS required
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Comfort working overnight weekend shifts and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Education

• ARDMS (Abdomen & OB/GYN) certification required
• Completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program or equivalent training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in abdominal and OB/GYN sonography techniques and protocols
• Familiarity with PACS, DICOM workflows, and image documentation
• Strong patient positioning, scanning, and image optimization skills
• Clear communication and teamwork skills for interacting with clinicians and patients
• Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Attention to detail for accurate measurements and diagnostic imaging
