Location: Dayton, OH

Start Date: 05-05-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 4-hour shift (exact start/end times and days to be confirmed). Orientation required. Shift type to be confirmed.

Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure instruments and supplies are sterile and ready
Assist the surgical team during procedures by anticipating needs and passing instruments
Maintain and monitor the sterile field to protect patient safety
Perform instrument counts and accurately document supplies used during cases
Support patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout procedures
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

Surgical Technologist diploma or certificate preferred
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred or equivalent credential encouraged
Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced operating room environment
Willingness to complete orientation, background check, and required health screenings

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; Surgical Technologist diploma/certificate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of sterile technique and operating room protocols
Familiarity with common surgical instruments and equipment
Strong attention to detail, especially for counts and infection control
Good communication skills and the ability to follow physician directions
Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize patient safety
