Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, efficient nursing care in the urgent care setting
• Perform patient assessments, triage, and prioritization to ensure timely care
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments according to protocols
• Collaborate with providers and the care team to develop and implement care plans
• Document encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Maintain a safe, clean, and patient-centered clinical environment

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the state of California (required)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or as required by site
• Experience in urgent care, emergency department, or acute care settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and IV skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to variable patient volumes

Education

• Active RN license in California
• BSN preferred but associate degree with relevant experience will be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, triage, and clinical decision-making
• Comfortable with wound care, splinting, and basic procedural assistance
• Proficient with medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize patient safety
