Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly identify rhythm changes
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings clearly
• Administer treatments and medications per ACLS/BLS protocols
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergent cardiac events
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete required skills checklists and exams
• Adapt to floating assignments and provide continuity of high-quality care across units

Qualifications

• Active RN license with Nursys verification
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (telemetry experience preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications required
• Ability and willingness to float to other units
• Completion of required screenings and immunizations (drug screen, TB/PPD, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, fit test, influenza as listed)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• ACLS and BLS emergency response skills
• Telemetry monitor setup and troubleshooting
• Comfort with floating to different units and adapting quickly
• Familiarity with electronic charting and clinical documentation
