Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients in the PICU
• Assess and monitor critical patients, recognizing changes and escalating appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient care and clinical decision-making in Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute care plans
• Participate in required competency testing and skills checklists
• Maintain required certifications and immunizations to meet facility standards

Qualifications

• Current RN license (ability to verify license/certification required)
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Pediatric ICU experience and comfort with critical care patients
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records
• Ability to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
• Must meet health screening requirements (drug screen, immunizations, fit test, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric critical care knowledge and PICU best practices
• Proficiency with Epic charting and electronic documentation
• Strong assessment and monitoring skills for acute pediatric patients
• Effective communication with families and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to perform and document specialty competency testing
