Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care during interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare patients and the procedural environment, maintaining strict sterile technique
• Monitor patients' clinical status and respond quickly to changes during procedures
• Collaborate closely with physicians, radiologic technologists, and the care team to ensure safe, efficient workflows
• Educate patients and families about procedures, pre- and post-procedure care, and discharge instructions
• Document assessments, interventions, and procedural details accurately in the medical record
• Participate in required competency checks such as the Trinity Skills Checklist to maintain excellence

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia licensure required or compact privileges as applicable)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and license/certificate verification as part of onboarding
• Completion of required health screenings and immunizations (fit test, drug screen, physical, respirator evaluation, color vision, COVID-19 vaccine, influenza vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD/IGRA, Varicella)
• Prior experience in Interventional Radiology or related procedural nursing preferred
• Strong patient assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with interventional radiology procedures, imaging environments, and contrast management
• Skilled in patient monitoring, hemodynamic assessment, and sedation support
• Proficient in sterile technique, vascular access assistance, and instrument handling
• Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation and procedure logging
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural team and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary staff
