Location: Lufkin, TX

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 4 shifts per week including weekends and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Float between ICU and PCU, providing critical care to a diverse patient population
Manage patients with complex conditions including cardiac post-surgery, sepsis, DKA, and respiratory failure
Titrate drips such as Levophed, amiodarone, heparin, propofol, and more
Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, and a dedicated RT team available 24/7
Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient status
Adapt quickly to varying acuity levels and unit needs

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact state
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Minimum 1 year of critical care experience required
Ability to titrate drips and manage ventilated patients
Comfortable floating between ICU and PCU settings

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Proficient in titration of vasoactive and sedative medications
Experience with ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen devices
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
