Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM / 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (rotating), every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Admit, discharge, and transfer patients with compassion and efficiency
Titrate medications and start IVs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Provide expert PICC/Port care and telemetry monitoring
Lead or assist in code situations: cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis
Respond to traumas and stabilize patients for transport if needed
Float seamlessly between MedSurg and Emergency Department to support the team
Read and document EKG strips independently using Mindray monitors

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
Must have ER experience to be considered
Minimum 1 year of MedSurg experience preferred
Comfortable working independently with minimal staff and communicating directly with hospitalists

Knowledge & Skills

IV Start and PICC/Port Care
Titration of medications (e.g., Insulin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Levophed)
Code Management and Trauma Care
Telemetry Monitoring and EKG Interpretation
Proficient in Meditech EMR
