Location: Omaha, NE

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights), every other weekend required. Shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM.

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care for cardiac and vascular patients, including telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Titrate and manage intravenous drips such as Amio, nitro, nicardipine, and other cardiac medications
Assist with procedures in the thoracic, EP, cath lab, and structural heart programs
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiologists to deliver comprehensive patient care
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed
Ensure compliance with patient safety and infection control standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in CVU or similar intermediate care unit
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass an open-book exam during orientation with 90% score

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Expertise in titrating cardiac drips
Proficiency with BiPAP and CPAP equipment
Understanding of cardiac and vascular diagnoses
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
