Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU patients, managing complex diagnoses from diagnosis to remission or end-of-life
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions, titrate drips like insulin and Cardizem as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers to ensure holistic patient care
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring, including CVP, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters, with training available
• Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining the same level of care
• Champion patient experience through hourly rounding and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or oncology nursing experience required
• Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state, and willingness to obtain Nebraska license if needed
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required; ONS/ONCC certification required at submission
• Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required - we can train
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to provide proof of residency outside 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome - we value your enthusiasm and willingness to learn

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records (experience within 6 months preferred)
• Comfortable with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000) - training provided
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps and Lyko lift equipment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on cultural sensitivity and patient respect
