Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in the delivery of patient care as a member of the surgical team before, during, and after surgery
Implement age-specific care and interaction tailored to each patient
Ensure patient safety by verifying correct site, procedure, counts, and fire safety checks
Maintain a sterile atmosphere by opening instruments and supplies following established procedures
Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts to prevent retained items
Pass instruments and sharps safely to and from the surgeon, minimizing risk of injury or exposure

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
Current BLS/BCLS certification required
Active state license (must be currently active)
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
Ability to work evening shifts and commit to a 13-week assignment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in sterile technique and maintaining a sterile field
Strong understanding of patient safety protocols
Proficient in operating room equipment and instrumentation
Excellent attention to detail for accurate counts
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
