Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced PCU/Oncology and MedSurg unit
• Manage chemotherapy administration and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Titrate drips such as insulin and Cardizem as needed
• Float to other MedSurg and PCU units to support team needs
• Collaborate with charge nurse, PT/OT, social workers, and dietitians to ensure holistic patient care
• Maintain hourly rounding and focus on patient experience and safety
• Document accurately using EPIC EMR

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent PCU or Oncology nursing experience required
• First-time travelers welcome to apply
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• ONS/ONCC certification strongly preferred
• Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
• Must be proficient in EPIC or able to adapt quickly (EPIC experience within 6 months preferred)
• Driver's license required for submittal to verify 50-mile radius rule
• Ability to pass open-book exam during orientation (90% pass rate required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of oncology and trauma patient diagnoses
• Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000) and ventilator management
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps and Lyko lifts
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to self-schedule and work every other weekend
• Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity
