Location: Kearney, Nebraska

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, holidays rotate with perm staff

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries including total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements
Monitor vital signs and administer medications as prescribed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
Educate patients and families on post-surgical care and rehabilitation
Maintain accurate patient records and document care provided
Ensure a safe and supportive environment for healing

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
BLS certification from American Heart Association
Driver's license required (to verify radius rule)
Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg/Ortho experience preferred
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork
Proficiency in electronic health records
Ability to manage multiple patients effectively
Compassionate and patient-centered approach
