Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients with compassion and clinical excellence
• Monitor and interpret complex hemodynamic and ventilator data to inform timely interventions
• Administer medications and titrate infusions safely according to orders and protocols
• Perform comprehensive assessments and document findings clearly in the patient record
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams — physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and support staff — to coordinate patient care
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition, including emergency interventions
• Participate in unit-specific competency testing and specialty skills validation to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

• Current RN license verified via Nursys
• ICU nursing experience (critical care skills expected)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications as listed
• Completion of required pre-employment competencies: core competencies, specialty and pharmacology exams
• Meet health and screening requirements including COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB testing, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Varicella and drug screening
• Ability to pass fit testing and color-blind screening as required by the facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and clinical decision-making
• Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Medication administration and IV infusion titration
• Familiarity with ICU protocols, infection control and patient safety practices
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
• Accurate and timely clinical documentation and charting
