Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality respiratory care and treatments to patients with compassion
Perform patient assessments, monitor respiratory status, and adjust therapies as needed
Administer and manage respiratory equipment and therapies, ensuring safety and compliance
Document patient care accurately in the medical record and communicate changes to the care team
Participate in orientation and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes
Support infection control practices and maintain clean, functional respiratory equipment

Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri or eligible for Missouri licensure
CRT or RRT credential preferred
Current BLS required; ACLS or PALS preferred where applicable
Clinical experience in respiratory care; comfort with ventilator management a plus
Willingness to attend required orientation and complete facility onboarding

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or completion of an accredited respiratory care program
Completion of clinical training and applicable respiratory credentials

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of respiratory assessment and therapeutic modalities
Ability to manage ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and airway devices
Skilled in ABG interpretation and respiratory diagnostics
Clear clinical documentation and effective communication with the care team
Teamwork, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach to care
