Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients with professionalism and compassion
Perform respiratory assessments, administer therapies, and monitor patient responses
Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and proper function
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow individualized care plans
Document patient care accurately and communicate changes in condition promptly
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain best practices

Qualifications

Active Respiratory Therapist credential (state licensure required or eligible)
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; pediatric advanced life support credentials preferred
Comfort working with pediatric patients and family-centered care
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and pediatric respiratory conditions
Skill in operating ventilators and other respiratory support equipment
Ability to assess respiratory status and respond to changes quickly
Familiarity with documentation systems and accurate charting
Strong teamwork, critical thinking, and patient-centered communication
