Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients: interview, perform bedside checks, and evaluate lung function to guide care
• Administer treatments: deliver aerosolized medications and chest physiotherapy with precision
• Manage ventilators: set up, monitor, and adjust mechanical ventilation for critically ill patients
• Respond to emergencies: perform airway management and intubation as part of rapid response teams
• Perform diagnostic testing: conduct and interpret ABGs and PFTs to inform clinical decisions
• Educate patients and families: teach management of chronic lung disease and safe use of home equipment
• Collaborate with the care team: communicate findings and recommendations to physicians and nursing staff

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Current CPR certification (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) required
• Proven skills in mechanical ventilation, ventilator management, and airway management
• Experience performing ABG analysis and pulmonary function testing (PFTs)
• Comfort with emergency response procedures including intubation and rapid interventions
• Strong patient assessment and education skills; team-oriented and communicative
