Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, and post-cath needs
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips each shift to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to deliver excellent patient outcomes
Support patients recovering from total joint replacements with expert nursing care
Float to East Campus and PCU units when needed to support the broader care team
Administer set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem while closely monitoring patient response

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips and interpreting dysrhythmias
Some background with CVA and TIA patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation time

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Medical-surgical nursing fundamentals
Patient assessment and care planning
Electronic health record documentation with Cerner
Team collaboration and effective communication
