Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances quality of life for residents
- Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
- Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
- Coordinate individualized plans of care to improve each resident's daily experience
- Practice the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect
- Maintain safety standards through universal precautions and proactive risk awareness
Qualifications
- Active Alaska LPN licensure required
- Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification
- 1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred
- New graduates welcome with 8-12 month preceptorship support
Education
- Associate's degree in Nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and clinical leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety and infection control practices
- Ability to coach and support nursing support staff
