End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across both MedSurg and ER units, adapting quickly to patient needs
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while maintaining excellent continuity of care
Titrate critical drips including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed with precision
Start IVs, manage PICC lines and ports, and respond confidently to codes and traumas
Collaborate with hospitalists and the care team in a close-knit, independent environment
Float between MedSurg and ER to support the community with versatile, high-quality nursing

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
ER experience is a must - this role requires comfort working independently with minimal staff
Ability to read your own tele strips and document accurately
Strong communication skills and adaptability to float between units

Knowledge & Skills

Meditech EMR experience
Comfort with critical care transport coordination and EMTALA compliance
Experience with swing bed rehab, pain management, pneumonia, hypertensive crisis, and bowel obstruction patients
Ability to work confidently with limited resources and on-call ancillary support
