Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients across PCU and Med/Surg levels
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin, cardizem, and protonix
Monitor ventilators and perform advanced hemodynamic assessments such as CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, and EV-1000
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians to optimize patient outcomes
Float within similar levels of care to support unit needs while maintaining excellent patient experience through hourly rounding
Embody teamwork and kindness, treating every patient with respect regardless of background or beliefs

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Chemotherapy certification strongly preferred
EPIC experience within the last 6 months is helpful but not required
Valid driver's license to verify 50-mile radius compliance

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing best practices
Ventilator management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
Titration of insulin and cardizem drips
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a culturally diverse patient population
