Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin and cardizem
Monitor ventilators and perform hemodynamic assessments to keep patients stable
Collaborate with PT/OT, case managers, and social workers for seamless care coordination
Float to same-level PCU and MedSurg units while delivering consistent, patient-centered care
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives that make a real difference

Qualifications

Active RN license and 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
Comfortable with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000)
Willingness to float within similar levels of care and embrace a diverse patient population
Valid driver's license at time of submission to confirm 50-mile radius compliance

Knowledge & Skills

Strong teamwork and a genuine passion for caring for patients from diagnosis through remission
Ability to titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem when needed
Familiarity with EPIC charting and Alaris IV pumps
Respect for cultural, religious, and economic diversity in every interaction
