Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to adult cardiac patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer and manage non-titrated cardiac drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone
• Manage chest tubes and related post-procedural care with confidence
• Titrate and monitor weight-based heparin drips per protocol
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech electronic medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license (per state requirements)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (as listed in the posting)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Experience in telemetry and med/surg settings preferred
• Comfort managing chest tubes, non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips, and weight-based heparin drips
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Med/Surg nursing foundations and critical thinking
• Meditech electronic medical record navigation
• IV pump and infusion management (including Baxter pumps)
• Post-procedural chest tube management
• Safe medication administration for cardiac drips and anticoagulation
