Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents and patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and acute changes
• Educate residents and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine or a valid compact RN license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; additional certifications a plus
• Clinical experience in long-term care, med-surg, or related settings preferred
• Comfortable working overnight shifts with strong assessment and time-management skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy abilities
• Able to pass required facility background checks and screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred where available
• Completion of accredited nursing program and state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling practices
• Experience with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
• Ability to prioritize tasks in fast-paced overnight settings
