Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert, compassionate critical care to pediatric patients in the PICU
Assess, plan and implement individualized nursing care and adjust based on patient response
Administer medications and manage complex IV/infusion therapies safely
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Monitor and interpret clinical data, escalating changes in condition promptly
Participate in orientation and training to support safe, high-quality care

Qualifications

Active RN license in California (or compact/licensure meeting state requirements)
Experience or training in pediatric critical care (PICU) preferred
Current BLS and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) recommended
Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with high-acuity pediatric patients
Professional, compassionate communicator who works well in a fast-paced team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric critical care principles and protocols
Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Medication administration and titration in critical care settings
Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation best practices
Excellent teamwork, situational awareness, and family-centered communication
