Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, family-centered critical care to pediatric patients in the PICU
Assess, monitor, and document patient condition using precise clinical judgment
Administer medications and therapies safely and in accordance with protocols
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
Educate and support families during stressful and complex situations with compassion
Participate in orientation and preceptorship activities to maintain unit standards and mentor newcomers

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Ohio licensure required
Previous pediatric or critical care experience preferred (PICU experience a plus)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and pediatric advanced life support certifications preferred
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric critical care principles and best practices
Patient monitoring and interpreting hemodynamic/respiratory data
Experience collaborating in interdisciplinary care teams
Family-centered care and effective caregiver communication
Comfort with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
