Shift Type: Variable OR shifts, 4-hour blocks (start/end times vary based on surgical schedule); days vary by assignment; orientation required

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, patient-centered perioperative nursing care for pediatric patients in the operating room
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure readiness for each case
Maintain sterile technique, prepare instruments and supplies, and assist with intraoperative needs
Monitor patient status during procedures and respond promptly to any changes
Communicate clearly and compassionately with families and caregivers before and after procedures
Document care accurately and participate in orientation and ongoing training

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) credential — core requirement
Experience or comfort working in the Operating Room environment
Background or experience in Pediatrics or caring for pediatric surgical patients
Willingness to participate in the required orientation program

Knowledge & Skills

Perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
Pediatric patient care and family-centered communication
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary surgical teams
Accurate clinical documentation and attention to detail
Adaptability to a variable surgical schedule and fast-paced OR environment
