Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, patient-centered perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical experience
Prepare the operating room, instruments, and sterile fields for procedures
Assist surgical team with instrumentation, patient positioning, and intraoperative needs
Perform accurate patient assessments and communicate findings to the surgical team
Maintain clear, professional documentation in the patient record
Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain RN licensure in Louisiana
Prior experience or training in the Operating Room or perioperative setting
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, CNOR) encouraged
Current immunizations and ability to pass required health and background screenings
Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Competence in sterile technique and surgical asepsis
Familiarity with surgical instruments, equipment, and intraoperative workflows
Ability to perform patient assessments and monitor intraoperative status
Proficient communication with multidisciplinary teams under time-sensitive conditions
Comfort using electronic medical record systems and accurate clinical documentation
