Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed nursing care to patients in the MST specialty
• Perform thorough assessments and develop patient-centered nursing plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document care in the electronic medical record with clarity and timeliness
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care
• Educate patients and families with empathy and clear communication

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus
• Experience in trauma-informed care or working with MST populations preferred
• Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts and per diem schedule
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ongoing professional development and specialty training encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Trauma-informed assessment and care principles
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Proficient documentation in electronic medical records
• Patient education and discharge planning skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize effectively
