Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Schedule varies; 4-hour shifts (exact days and start/end times vary). Orientation required. Non-guaranteed hours.

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to med/surg and pediatric patients
Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and document changes in the chart
Administer medications and treatments according to orders and best practices
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs
Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe environment for patients

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Missouri) required
Experience or training in Med/Surg and Pediatrics preferred
BLS required; PALS or pediatric certifications preferred
Comfortable with variable schedules and able to attend orientation
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and pediatric/med-surg care principles
Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
Electronic health record (EHR) documentation skills
Infection prevention and patient safety practices
Patient and family education techniques
Ability to triage and prioritize in a dynamic clinical setting
