Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 4-hour shifts; specific start/end times and days to be confirmed with hiring manager

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric med/surg patients
Assess patient conditions, monitor vitals, and respond to changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Document patient care thoroughly and maintain accurate records
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and follow-up
Participate in orientation and training to maintain unit standards and best practices

Qualifications

Current RN licensure (Missouri license or eligibility) — must be a Registered Nurse
Experience or training in med/surg and pediatric nursing (hands-on experience preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to complete required orientation and comply with facility policies

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Med/Surg and pediatric patient assessment and monitoring
Medication administration and safe infusion practices
Family-centered care and pediatric communication techniques
Accurate clinical documentation and handoff reporting
Team collaboration and effective time/prioritization skills
