Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to pediatric med/surg patients
Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate to the care team
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate high-quality care
Participate in unit orientation and mentor new staff and learners

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts or eligible for licensure
BLS required; PALS preferred for pediatric-focused care
Clinical experience in Med/Surg and/or pediatric nursing is strongly preferred
Comfort with patient and family education, strong communication skills
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required onboarding

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong pediatric assessment and clinical judgment
Medication administration and safe documentation practices
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients effectively
Excellent communication and teamwork with families and clinical staff
Familiarity with common med/surg and pediatric nursing interventions
