Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour shifts (specific start/end times and days to be confirmed)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients
Perform timely patient assessments and document findings accurately
Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility policies
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement care plans
Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Support unit workflow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (active) with experience in Med/Surg nursing
Comfortable working 12.5-hour shifts in a fast-paced acute care setting
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across disciplines
Current BLS (and other facility-required certifications) as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

Medical-surgical nursing principles and bedside care
Medication administration and patient safety practices
Patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation skills
Effective teamwork, time management, and prioritization
Basic familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
