Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients
Perform thorough assessments and develop nursing plans that prioritize patient safety
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document interventions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
Educate patients and families to support recovery and safe transitions

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia (or compact RN license if applicable)
Clinical experience on a Med/Surg unit preferred
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS a plus
Strong assessment, medication administration, and IV skills
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and manage a varied patient census
Professional communication skills and teamwork mindset

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Completion of accredited nursing program and active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

Solid Med/Surg nursing knowledge and clinical reasoning
Proficiency with EMR charting and documentation
Medication administration and IV therapy competence
Patient assessment, wound care, and post-op care skills
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
