Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition closely
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and the interdisciplinary team on care planning
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families with compassion, helping them navigate critical-care decisions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana (required)
• Critical care/ICU experience preferred; recent ICU experience is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to manage unstable patients
• Demonstrated ability to work well on a fast-paced team and communicate clearly under pressure

Education

• Active RN license in Louisiana
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of critical care nursing principles and ICU patient management
• Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Skilled in medication administration and IV/drip management
• Proficient documentation practices in electronic health records
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and prioritization skills
• Infection control practices and patient safety focus
