Location: Centennial, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; schedule set by leadership in 6-week blocks; rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care to a diverse patient population in a float pool across multiple ICUs within the Colorado Springs Zone
Manage advanced life support equipment including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and high-flow devices
Titrate critical drips such as pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes independently
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes; float to other acuity levels as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (3+ years if first-time traveler without Epic experience preferred)
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Comfort with floating within a 60-mile zone and adapting to various hospital environments
Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
Epic experience preferred for first-time travelers

Knowledge & Skills

Critical drip titration and ventilator management
Telemetry interpretation
Floating across multiple ICU types (MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU)
Patient assessment and prioritization in high-acuity settings
