Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care for patients from non-critical to emergent conditions
• Rapidly assess and triage patients, prioritizing care based on acuity
• Deliver critical cardiac and trauma interventions following established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and safe dispositions
• Stabilize pediatric and adult patients in emergent situations and perform timely reassessments
• Document clinical findings, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Participate in emergency drills and maintain readiness for high-acuity events
• Communicate with patients and families with clarity and empathy during stressful moments

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required
• ACLS required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required
• NIHSS required
• PALS required
• Prior emergency department nursing experience preferred but all qualified ED clinicians are encouraged to apply
• Ability to work rotating night shifts and weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment skills in emergency and critical care settings
• Experience with trauma care and critical cardiac interventions
• Pediatric emergency care expertise and comfort managing children
• Clear, calm communication in high-stress situations
• Familiarity with emergency documentation and triage processes
• Teamwork and the ability to coordinate with interdisciplinary providers
