Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and prioritize care for patients presenting to the emergency department
• Provide timely and evidence-based nursing interventions including medication administration and wound care
• Monitor patients closely and respond to changes in condition, including emergency interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up plans
• Support safe and efficient patient flow through the emergency department

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN license eligibility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Prior experience in emergency department nursing is strongly preferred
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and handle the fast pace of emergency care
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred but all qualified RN applicants encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid patient assessment skills
• Emergency interventions and stabilizing critical patients
• IV therapy, medication administration, and wound management
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and crisis management abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
