Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic exams with attention to image quality and patient comfort
Operate and maintain radiology equipment safely and according to protocol
Apply radiation safety principles (ALARA) to protect patients and staff
Accurately position patients and document exams in PACS/EHR systems
Communicate clearly with patients and the clinical team to ensure coordinated care
Participate in orientation and on-the-job training to support a smooth transition

Qualifications

ARRT certification in Radiography (or registry-eligible) preferred
Valid Louisiana radiologic technologist license or ability to obtain one
BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Comfort working with diverse patient populations and varying clinical needs
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Previous experience as a Rad Tech is preferred but new grads may be considered

Education

Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent program; ARRT certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Radiographic positioning and anatomy knowledge
Familiarity with PACS and radiology information systems
Radiation safety and infection control practices
Patient assessment, safety, and bedside manners
Ability to follow protocols and document accurately
