Roles & Responsibilities

Assist clinicians with patient care activities and procedures in a respectful, patient-first manner
Prepare exam rooms, collect vital signs, and maintain accurate patient records
Support smooth patient flow by coordinating check-in/check-out and documenting encounters
Perform point-of-care testing and basic clinical tasks per facility protocols
Communicate clearly with patients and the care team to ensure safe, efficient care
Participate in orientation and training to stay up to date on policies and best practices

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent credential preferred; willingness to pursue certification encouraged
Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire
Comfortable taking vital signs and performing basic clinical tasks
Reliable, professional, and patient-focused with strong communication skills
Previous experience in an outpatient or hospital setting a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with basic clinical procedures and infection control practices
Ability to document accurately in electronic health records
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent patient interaction and customer service abilities
Team-oriented mindset and adaptability during orientation and workflow changes
