Location: Spokane, WA

Start Date: 05-04-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Ambulatory (MA - AMB), 4-hour shifts; exact start/end times and days to be confirmed. Orientation required.

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Room patients efficiently and create a welcoming, comfortable environment
Take and document vitals, medical histories, and chief complaints accurately
Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures with professionalism
Document encounters and updates in the electronic health record (EHR)
Perform point-of-care testing and basic clinical duties such as phlebotomy and injections as trained
Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up to keep care moving smoothly
Support clinic operations during orientation and help onboard new team members

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification required or must obtain upon hire
Phlebotomy and EMR/EHR experience a strong plus
Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
Medical Assistant diploma or certificate preferred; relevant clinical training welcomed

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with common EHR systems and basic clinical documentation
Skilled in taking vitals, drawing blood, and preparing patients for exams
Strong interpersonal and patient education skills
Familiarity with outpatient/ambulatory clinic workflows and check-in/check-out processes
Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy best practices
