Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Assess and monitor patient condition, reporting changes promptly
• Document care, observations, and interventions clearly in the patient record
• Collaborate with RN and multidisciplinary team to support continuity of care
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient transfers as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control practices
• Educate patients and families with clear, supportive communication

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (Maine license or eligible to obtain)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Clinical experience as an LPN preferred; confident with medication administration and basic assessments
• Comfort working overnight shifts and independently during night coverage
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Reliable professional conduct and ability to pass required background checks

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program; LPN/LVN diploma or certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals and LPN scope of practice
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Familiarity with electronic health record charting
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
• Ability to collaborate with RNs and other care team members
