Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the rehabilitation setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document responses clearly
• Perform routine assessments and report changes in patient condition to the care team
• Support patients with activities of daily living while encouraging independence
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and follow facility policies and infection control practices
• Participate in shift handoffs and communicate patient needs effectively to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (must be valid in New Mexico)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Ability to work night shift schedule (Monday-Wednesday, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
• Current immunizations and compliance with facility health requirements
• Comfortable working in a rehab/long-term care environment and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team
• Local candidates only (this is a local contract assignment)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program
• Current LPN license in New Mexico

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Patient assessment and basic clinical care in a rehab setting
• Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Familiarity with common rehab nursing tasks and safety protocols
• Compassionate patient education and encouragement to promote recovery
