Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory tests in hematology, immunohematology, immunology, bacteriology, microscopy, routine chemistry, and therapeutic drug monitoring
• Conduct phlebotomies including arterial, capillary, and venipunctures with age-appropriate care
• Calibrate, standardize, and maintain instruments to ensure accurate results
• Execute quality control protocols and troubleshoot instrument issues
• Validate and report test results accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist in developing and updating laboratory policies and procedures
• Orient and train new employees and students
• Promote a safe and collaborative environment by following safety and infection control practices

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) with national certification (AMT or ASCP)
• At least 2 years of laboratory experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field from an accredited institution

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of medical technology principles, methods, and equipment
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen processing
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Familiarity with laboratory safety and quality assurance practices
