Location: Pueblo, CO

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Block scheduling, days, 8-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations for acute inpatient populations including Medical/Surgical, ICU, and Orthopedic patients
Facilitate early mobilization to promote patient recovery and functional independence
Assess patients' mobility status and safety for discharge planning
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans
Provide skilled intervention for patients with CVA, stroke, neuropathy, and general weakness
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Qualifications

Valid Colorado Occupational Therapy license required
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
At least 1 year of acute inpatient occupational therapy experience preferred
Ability to work independently with a caseload of 8-10 patients per day
Experience with Medical/Surgical, ICU, and Orthopedic populations is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of acute inpatient care across various units
Skilled in early mobilization techniques and patient evaluation
Understanding of discharge planning and safety assessments
Ability to manage a diverse caseload including stroke and orthopedic patients
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficient in documentation and electronic health records
