Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for interventional radiology procedures while maintaining a strict sterile field
• Operate and troubleshoot PACS and Siemens imaging equipment to ensure clear, timely images
• Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and contrast materials to support efficient case flow
• Assist physicians with vascular and interventional procedures such as angioplasty, IVC filter placement, TIPS, embolizations, and drain exchanges
• Document procedures and care activities in EPIC accurately and promptly
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Participate in assigned call rotation and respond to weekday call responsibilities as scheduled

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• ARRT certification required
• BLS required and ACLS required
• Experience with EPIC is required
• Comfortable acting as room circulator and scrub tech in IR cases
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guidelines

Education

• ARRT certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent; radiologic technologist program or equivalent training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with PACS and Siemens imaging systems
• Strong sterile technique for scrubbing and circulating
• Contrast administration knowledge and protocols
• Familiarity with interventional procedures: angioplasty, embolization, TIPS, IVC filter work, fistulagrams, PCN/PTC and drain management
• Ability to support vascular access and stent placements
• Comfortable using EPIC for charting and documentation
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced procedural settings
