Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to ICU patients during 12-hour night shifts
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and intervene promptly for arrhythmias
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols while ensuring accurate documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• Complete required competency assessments, skills checklists, and specialty exams
• Maintain strict infection control and adhere to occupational health requirements
• Participate in handoffs and thorough bedside reporting to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing (state license required)
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (required)
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP competency or certification as listed
• Successful completion of rhythm interpretation and basic pharmacology screening
• Ability to pass facility-required health screenings and drug testing
• Prior ICU or critical care experience preferred; comfortable with high-acuity patients
• Completion of employer-required core competencies and specialty exams

Knowledge & Skills

• ICU nursing and critical care principles
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
• Basic pharmacology knowledge for safe medication administration
• Familiarity with ICU monitoring equipment and standards of care
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
