Roles & Responsibilities

• Support and assist with electrophysiology procedures and ablations, including AFib and AFlutter cases
• Circulate and assist in combined EP and Cath lab suites, ensuring smooth case flow
• Provide sedation support and Phase 1 recovery care as needed
• Collaborate with RNs, lead techs, and core staff to prioritize patient safety and high-quality care
• Help with setup, operation, and troubleshooting of EP equipment such as St Jude and Webster systems
• Contribute to documentation workflows as directed by core staff and assist with accurate charting
• Step in as a team player during high-volume periods to help clear backlogs and maintain patient-first service

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath lab and EP settings
• For nurses: active RN license plus BLS and ACLS required
• For technologists: RCIS, RT, or RCE certification required or equivalent EP technologist credential
• Experience with sedation and Phase 1 recovery required; ICU or PACU experience a plus
• EPIC experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Education

• Active RN license or certified EP technologist credential (RCIS, RT, or RCE) and relevant clinical training

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of electrophysiology procedures and ablation workflows
• Experience with AFib and AFlutter cases and advanced EP lab protocols
• Familiarity with cath lab processes and combined unit teamwork
• Comfort with sedation practices and Phase 1 recovery monitoring
• Competence with St Jude and Webster EP equipment
• Good documentation skills and the ability to support core staff documentation
• Excellent communication and collaborative teamwork skills
