Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and general diagnostic radiographic exams with professional confidence
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment safely and accurately while following protocols
• Prepare and administer contrast media and perform intravenous contrast injections when required
• Maintain patient rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications to ensure smooth workflow
• Follow and enforce quality assurance, radiation protection, and safety standards
• Deliver compassionate patient care, including positioning and monitoring during procedures
• Collaborate with the Radiology team and contribute to service excellence and departmental goals

Qualifications

• Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the State of California (CRT)
• Approved CPR certification
• ARRT certification and Radiologic Technologist fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Desired: radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification
• Desired: current ARRT license, CT advanced certification
• Desired: two years experience in diagnostic x-ray and one year experience in CT (preferred)
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient-focused skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and positioning with attention to comfort and safety
• Cross-sectional anatomy and specialized CT imaging techniques
• Quality assurance and radiographic exposure principles
• Radiation physics, radiation protection, and radiobiology fundamentals
• Operation of CT and X-ray equipment and related imaging software
• Contrast media preparation, venipuncture, and IV contrast administration
